For the past twenty years, the ACM Symposium on Applied Computing has been a primary gathering forum for applied computer scientists, computer engineers, software engineers, and application developers from around the world.

SAC 2008 is sponsored by the ACM Special Interest Group on Applied Computing,
and is hosted by the University of Fortaleza (UNIFOR) and the Federal University of Ceará (UFC)

Learning from data streams is a fast growing research area with challenging applications and contributions from fields like Data Bases, Machine Learning, Data Mining, and Visualization. The workshop goal is to promote a meeting point and a discussion forum for researchers interested in this discipline.
