Current Position

• Full Professor (Prof. Catedrático) at the Faculty of Economics (FEP) of University of Porto. (since 1998). I teach subjects on Computing and Artificial Intelligence.
• Till 2011 he was the coordinator of Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Data Analysis (LIAAD) which is one of the R&D Units, of University of Porto. LIAAD belongs to INESC Porto L.A. and FEP and includes a strong Machine Learning and Data Mining group. Most of Pavel Brazdil's research is carried out there.
• In previous years he was a member of LIACC (Laboratory of Artificial Inteligence and Computer Science) and also the Coordinating Board of LIACC (since 1988 till 2007). In 2004, 2000 and 1996 he was the Scientific Coordinator of LIACC.
• Fellow of ECCAI, European Coordinating Committee for Artificial Intelligence (since 2008).
